The large farm La Ripolina is situated on a lovely hill in the softly landscape of Tuscany. Small groups of trees come along with valleys full of vine-grapes, in between wide yellow cornfields, cypresses and old olive trees. Right in front of the main building, which is like all the other buildings a medieval farmhouse, there is a fountain and little cats play in the summer sun. There is always a fresh breeze up here, therefore the temperature is quite nice also in the summertime.
The factory, where until these days the production of vine and olive oil are still going on, is an ideal place for day trips to all the precious sights in Tuscany. What about going to Siena, or visit Florence world famous museums? Or visit the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, or one of the many romantic little towns, which sometimes have also thermal baths. Or maybe you don't want to miss the seaside- in about one-hour-drive you reach the beautiful tuscan coast.
If you want to relax, stay simply at home – the factory La Ripolina has got a swimming pool, table tennis, lakes for fishing, bicycle for rent, a bowling pitch, and along many other things also a barbecue place where you can meet for a fine evening dinner under a scy full of stars.

The inside of the houses has got furniture from the late 1800, every house has got a fire place inside and heating system. One apartment is in midst of an old church and offers by that an unforgettable stay. Children can play outside without the danger of streets, cars and so on. There is also a playground for them next to the pool.

by car: Buonconvento: 5 min, Siena: 25 min, Florence: 1 hour.
To the seaside: 1, 25 hours, also to the Lago Trasimeno 1, 25 hours approximately.

Dogs: Animals like dogs and others are allowed, if they are well educated. Fee for one animal/day: 10 Euro, per week: 30 Euro.

Tennis: The next tennis-court is in a distance of about 2, 5 km.
Fishing: You can fish a the lakes which belong to the farm.
Thermal baths: The next thermal bath is in a distance of about 15 km.

In the price included are: bedsheets (will be changed weekly), gas, electricity and water. The heating costs ( in the wintertime) will be charged by consumption.

Who wants to enjoy holidays in midst splendid nature but at the same time to be right next to cities such as Siena, Florence, Volterra and many others will find the right place and a little treasure with the castle of Tocchi. Off road and a little bit hidden the castle of Tocchi lays in midst green woods and hills. The castle is a medieval ensemble of about 10 little very old stone houses, they all stand in a rotunda, which has got outside the look of a fort and inside you will be welcomed by a beautiful courtyard in which roses and a well complete the picture of a fairytale. Time stands still up here and the wind seems to blow over old stories.
From the external windows of the castle you will see woods and hills and hills and woods. The color green is so fresh and deep like the seaside. But there is no sand, no other houses. Here tuscany performs the other part of the cliche: Instead of yellow cornfields and cypress trees there is nature with a rough charm and a very special character.
To some of the houses belong also some gardens, with tables and chairs, there is also a little swimming pool for all guests. The apartment „Lecchio“ has got a delightful terrace which is inside the common courtyard. All rooms have got terracotta floor and the apartments have got at least one bath (with shower, bidet and hairdryer) and a kitchen. There is a heating system for throughout the year, you can also heat with the fireplace. Every bedroom has got noble furnitures in the style of old farm houses.

by walk: 10 Minutes to the village Tocchi, there are a hundful beautiful houses and a little restaurant.
by car: to Monticiano: 5 min., to Siena: 25 min,to Florence : 1 hour. To the seaside: 1, 5 hours.
Animals: Dogs are welcomed, if they are well educated. There will be a final charge about 10 Euro for the clean-up at the end of the stay.
Horses: For our guests who love horseback riding there is the possibility to enjoy in a group the specialized and well functioning horse farm right next to the castle Tocchi. The gentle owner of the lodging, who maintains also the horse farm, will give you every information.
Booking: There is a minimum of booking in the low season of 3 nights. ( from 30. October to 1.may)
In the summer time you can stay of course also single nights.
